Royal Hotel Guide covers boutique and luxury hotels in Paris, London, Rome, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Vienna, Prague, Lisbon, Milan and Florence. Every listing is an editorial decision: hotels cannot pay to be included or to appear higher on a page.

What we look for

  • A hotel in one of the cities we cover.
  • A Booking.com listing. Booking.com supplies the rates and handles reservations for our readers.
  • At least 100 guest reviews, a full description and a set of photos, so readers can judge the stay.
  • The character of a boutique hotel or the service of a luxury one, judged from the hotel’s own information rather than its star rating alone.

How it works

Send us the hotel below. We check it against these standards and reply by email. A hotel that qualifies gets its own page and can be considered for our neighbourhood and city guides, which recommend a short list of hotels and say why each one was chosen. How we write and review those guides is set out in our editorial policy.
