Set on Merano’s historic Passer Promenade, Aurora reopens in Summer 2026 following a complete transformation of this family-run hotel. The first phase of the renovation has been designed by AD100-listed Hannes Peer Architecture, spanning 18 of the 59 guestrooms and all guest-facing spaces across four floors. The renovation introduces a Listening Bar, restaurant, terrace, lobby, in-room amenities, as well as new architectural outer skin. Set in the heart of the spa town of Merano, Aurora offers a prime riverfront location opposite the thermal baths. Guestrooms are bright and comfortable, with 18 fully renovated in a contemporary design. All accommodations include air conditioning, a minibar, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Upon request and for a fee, the hotel can arrange a round-trip shuttle service to nearby airports, including Bolzano, Verona, Bergamo, Milan, Venice, Treviso, Innsbruck, and Munich. Aurora is a 5-minute drive from Trauttmansdorff Castle Gardens and nearby to Merano’s historic old town, with its arcades, cafés, and boutiques, as well as scenic walking and cycling paths along the Passer River.
